What this site is
KeepMyPay is an independent, ad-supported website. It is not affiliated with the IRS, any bank, lender, payroll company, or tax-preparation service, and nobody pays us to recommend a product. Every calculator runs entirely in your browser: the numbers you type are never sent to our servers.
Where the numbers come from
We use primary, published sources, and calculator pages link to the ones they rely on.
- Federal income tax brackets and standard deductions — IRS annual inflation adjustments (Rev. Proc. 2025-32 for tax year 2026).
- Social Security wage base and FICA rates — Social Security Administration ($184,500 wage base for 2026).
- State income tax brackets, deductions and credits — Tax Foundation, State Individual Income Tax Rates and Brackets, 2026.
- Inflation — Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U).
- No tax on tips, no tax on overtime, car loan interest deduction — the caps and income phase-outs in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and the IRS guidance issued under it.
- Loans, mortgages, compound interest and credit card payoff — standard amortization and compounding formulas; no outside data needed.
How we keep it accurate
- The math behind the calculators is covered by automated tests that check results against hand-worked examples.
- Tax data is rebuilt when the IRS, SSA and Tax Foundation publish new figures, and each tax page states which year it covers.
What these calculators can't do
Results are estimates for planning and education, not tax, legal or financial advice. Real paychecks and tax returns also depend on local taxes, credits, withholding elections, benefits and other details we don't ask for. Check important decisions with the IRS, your employer's payroll team, or a qualified professional.
How the site is funded
KeepMyPay is free, with no signup or paywall. It is paid for by ads served by Google AdSense; the Privacy Policy explains how those ads use cookies. Ads never change a calculator's results.
